Patchouli, known scientifically as Pogostemon cablin, is a herbaceous plant belonging to the Lamiaceae family, native to tropical regions of Southeast Asia, mainly Indonesia and the Philippines. This plant is famous for its richly aromatic essential oil, widely used in perfumery, cosmetics and aromatherapy.
